ENGINEERING POOL
We already have an extensive team working with us with degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and plan to extend this group in the coming years. Our aspiration to be a ‘medical technology-enabled innovator’ means that we also recruit researchers for PhD trajectory or applied engineering & medical device projects.
INTERNSHIPS
On top of that, we have bachelor & master students in biomedical engineering (video) open for internships in the medical device industry. Students are highly encouraged to do an internship with a company or hospital in Belgium or abroad during the summer holiday period. Internships can be commercialised in the curriculum, with an internship of 4 weeks accounting for an elective course of 3 credits, and an internship of minimally 6 weeks accounting for 6 credits.
DO YOU LIKE TO RECRUIT BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERS
Recruiting biomedical engineers can be a challenge. One of the best ways to optimize this process is to participate in the BEAM-activities including the Company day and the Biomedical Industry day.
Our graduates find their way in a wide variety of functions, including:
• R&D or management function in industry
• PhD-track (university, research institution, industry research...)
• Engineering or Medical Physicist in a hospital
• Government/public health
• Notified bodies, Regulatory Affairs
• Their own start-ups
Or any job requiring the analytical and organisational engineering skills (consultancy, top functions in administration, management, banking sector, ...)
